USAIN Bolt wrote his name into the Olympic history books last night, winning the 200 metres in 19.30 seconds into a headwind to complete a remarkable sprint double.

Not even Michael Johnson's world record (19.32) could beat the great Jamaican Bolt.

Regarded as likely to last for the foreseeable future when Johnson did it in Atlanta in 1996, the record fell before Bolt's relentless charge.
